Beyond the Bassline, our 2024 national exhibition of Black-British music, has landed in Bristol. In collaboration with the Living Knowledge network, a capsule of the exhibition will be on display in the Bristol Beacon from the 21st June – 5th of July 2025, before moving to other libraries in the city. This is a fabulous opportunity for those who missed out on the original exhibition in London to get a glimpse of the cultural history of Beyond the Bassline (including some Bristol-specific materials) and watch some exclusive videos from curators and archivists. The exhibition is free to attend, and we’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the exhibition if you do go along! Feel free to pass on any comments to [email protected].
