Prof. Mykaell Riley speaks at Blue Earth Summit 2026

Professor Mykaell Riley joined the speakers at Blue Earth Summit 2026, held in Woolwich, London from 14 to 16 October.

On Wednesday 14 October he took part in Give Me £200k And I Will Make 30,000 Caribbean People Environmentalists on the Sessions Stage, alongside Ammo Talwar MBE (Punch Records; KoKo Foundation), Dr Aleema Gray (House of Dread) and Ben Ryan (City Splash Festival).

The session took its title from a challenge set by Ben Ryan, and asked how music and culture can bring Black and Caribbean audiences into environmental action. The panel discussed what meaningful investment could achieve if it ran through trusted cultural organisations, and how sustainability campaigns can reach the communities they too often overlook.
