Jewel's deep dive into making BBC Boarders Original Soundtrack Album

Jewel Appiah is one half of the gospel/afrobeats/soul fusion duo Joy & Jee Melodies, with her sister Joy. Raised in East London, their musical journey began in church before they hit their teens, with heavenly harmonies showcased in various singles thus far. With their work on BBC Three’s Boarders - their track “Gold” caps off the second series - the duo have the chance to reach a larger audience and are relishing the opportunity

BOARDERS is a hit BBC comedy-drama telling the story of 5 young Black students who win scholarships to an elite English boarding school. From the mind of acclaimed writer/actor Daniel Lawrence Taylor (Uncle, Timewasters) it's filled with future stars like Josh Tedeku (also seen in Supacell) and Jodie Campbell, and tells its story with both laughter and depth. Its 2nd season aired in February, and is now available on iPlayer.
